The Backlot Ledger

The Backlot Ledger takes one question at a time about the work that puts a person in front of an audience and keeps them there: who scouts a location and what a scout file contains, how a television season is scheduled, how an adult choir recruits and pays for its season, who feeds a crew of a hundred, how a publicist confirms a story before a desk runs it, and who gets someone ready for a photograph. Each entry answers first, names what it read, carries a plan number and a date, and says where the record stops. Nothing here is for sale.
